(2012) Bills Filed, Hearings Scheduled

 Three bills of interest have been scheduled for hearings:

HB 1705 allows the purchase and use of marijuana by adults, regulates the purchase and use of marijuana, and imposes taxes on the wholesale and retail sale of marijuana. This bill has been scheduled for a public hearing Wednesday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m. in Room 204 of the Legislative Office Building in Concord.

HB 1526 decriminalizes possession of one ounce or less of marijuana, reducing the penalty to a violation and a fine of up to $100. This bill has been scheduled for a public hearing Thursday, February 2, at 1:00 p.m. in Room 204 of the Legislative Office Building in Concord.

HB 1527 exempts cultivation of marijuana from manufacturing under the controlled drug act. This bill has been scheduled for a public hearing Thursday, February 2, at 1:30 p.m. in Room 204 of the Legislative Office Building in Concord.
